Job summary

Firefly Electric & Lighting Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for Technical Services to coordinate and drive maintenance programs aimed at increasing equipment uptime. You will supervise inspections, emergency and planned maintenance, and repairs to ensure reliability, safety, and optimal performance of facilities and systems.

The role requires PLC/HMI/VFD programming, CAD drafting, ERP/SAP navigation, and strong problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, or similar field).
  • At least two (2) years of relevant work experience in the manufacturing industry environment.
  • Proficiency in PLC, HMI, VFD programming and commissioning.
  • Proficiency in CAD drafting and maintenance planning to allocate resources, plan downtime, and coordinate maintenance activities with stakeholders.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve equipment functionality issues.
  • Ability to operate maintenance power tools and test instruments.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, electrical diagrams, process and instrumentation diagrams, etc.
  • Ability to work in MS Office / Google Suite environment
  • Ability to navigate and work on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP/SAP) Modules
  • Interpersonal Relationship Skills to communicate, interact, and build connections with others effectively

Responsibilities

  • Operates and ensures the timely availability of utility equipment, such as Medium-Voltage Switchgear, Air Compressors, Fire Pumps, Generators, and a Wastewater Treatment Plant
  • Implements safety and housekeeping standards, ensuring that the monthly target index is met and resolves audit action items in a timely manner
  • Identifies opportunities and implements projects to improve equipment reliability, maintenance processes, and efficiency

Job description

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
