Job summary

SMC Repairs and Maintenance, Inc. is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to join our hatchery operations. You will conduct inspections, perform repairs and routine maintenance on hatchery equipment, and help ensure safe, reliable plant performance.

Candidates must have NC II in SMAW or EIM, at least 1 year of plant maintenance experience, knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems, and be willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have NC II in SMAW OR EIM.
• At least 1 year experience in plant maintenance.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, motors, pumps, and basic plumbing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections, repairs, and maintenance of hatchery equipment and machinery.
• Ensure proper functioning of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Perform welding, carpentry, and other general maintenance tasks as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and spare parts inventory.
• Follow safety protocols and company regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

Job Qualifications

• Must have NC II in Shielded Metal arc Welding (SMAW) OR Electrical Installation and Maintenance (EIM)
• With at least 1 year experience in plant maintenance
• Knowledge of electrical systems, motors, pumps, and basic plumbing
• Ability to use hand and power tools efficiently
• Physically fit and willing to work in a hatchery environment
• Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays as needed
