Job summary

Coral Agri-Venture Farm Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure continuous, reliable operation of hatchery equipment and environmental controls. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose faults, and repair electrical/electronic/mechanical issues to protect embryo development and hatchability.

You will work with the Hatchery Manager to sustain 24/7 operational capability, maintain safety and bio-security standards, and keep detailed maintenance logs and schedules up to date.

Qualifications

• Education: College level or Vocational Graduate in Electrical/Electronics or related technical course.
• Certification: TESDA NC2 Certification in Electrical/Electronics or related technical discipline required.
• Experience: Hands-on maintenance in Hatchery Operations or environmental-control facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspection, maintenance and servicing of hatchery machinery including chillers, ventilation, incubation units and hatchers.
• Monitor climate control and environmental systems to maintain precise temperature, humidity and airflow.
• Diagnose, repair faults and respond to system breakdowns to protect hatchery performance and outputs.
• Maintain records of repairs, maintenance schedules, parts inventory and logs.

The Maintenance Technician ensures the continuous, reliable, and efficient operation of all critical hatchery equipment and specialized environmental control systems. The primary objective is to prevent equipment failure, maintain optimal climate conditions for embryo development, prevent chick mortality, and safeguard hatchability performance and overall departmental profitability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Preventive Maintenance & Equipment Care

• Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and servicing of critical hatchery machinery, including chillers, ventilation systems, incubation units, and hatchers.

• Monitor climate control and environmental management systems to guarantee precise temperature, humidity, and airflow standards required for embryo viability.

• Conduct preventive maintenance checks on electrical and electronic equipment to minimize unexpected operational downtime.

2. Troubleshooting & Technical Repairs

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, electronic, and mechanical faults across all hatchery machinery.

• Respond rapidly to system breakdowns (such as chiller or ventilation failures) to protect embryo development and prevent losses in Hatch of Fertile (HOF) performance.

• Maintain detailed records of equipment repairs, maintenance schedules, parts inventory, and machine performance logs.

3. Operational Support & Risk Mitigation

• Assist in maintaining workplace safety compliance and adherence to bio-security standards within the hatchery environment.

• Work closely with the Hatchery Manager and team to ensure seamless 24/7 operational capability of environmental controls.

• Experience: Hands‑on maintenance experience in Hatchery Operations or continuous environmental‑control facility operations required.
