Job summary

SMC Repairs and Maintenance, Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to operate, maintain, and repair boiler systems within a hatchery environment.

The role requires knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems, plus experience with hand and power tools, and the ability to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed. Qualifications

• Registered Mechanical Engineer (RMeE) or Certified Plant Mechanic (CPM).
• At least 1 year of experience in plant maintenance.
• Knowledge of boiler systems, electrical systems, motors, pumps, and basic plumbing.
• Ability to operate and maintain hand and power tools efficiently.
• Physically fit and willing to work in a hatchery environment.
• Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair boiler systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct routine inspections, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of hatchery equipment and machinery.
• Ensure proper functioning of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
• Assist in diagnosing and resolving equipment failures to minimize downtime.
• Perform welding, carpentry, and other general maintenance tasks as required.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and spare parts inventory.
• Follow safety protocols and company regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
