Job summary

E-team Workforce Private Corporation is seeking an Application Developer – z/OS in the Philippines. You will develop, maintain, troubleshoot, and support mainframe applications using COBOL and z/OS technologies, with emphasis on batch processing and DB2 support.

You will work independently and collaboratively to ensure stability, reliability, and continuous improvement of business-critical systems, across all SDLC phases, including testing and deployment support.

Qualifications

• Strong COBOL programming experience.
• Hands-on JCL and batch processing familiarity.
• DB2 database development and support experience.
• Experience in mainframe application maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Solid understanding of SDLC, testing, and production support.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance mainframe applications using COBOL.
• Participate in JCL and batch processing activities and optimization.
• Develop and support DB2-based applications and queries.
• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and issue resolution on production systems.
• Contribute to all phases of the SDLC and support deployment of changes.
• Provide production support and incident resolution for critical applications.
• Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to meet requirements.
• Analyze system issues and identify effective solutions.
• Contribute to process improvements in development and support.
