Job summary

E-team Workforce Private Corporation is seeking an Application Developer – z/OS in the Philippines. You will develop, maintain, troubleshoot, and support mainframe applications using COBOL and z/OS technologies, with emphasis on batch processing and DB2 support.

You will work independently and collaboratively to ensure stability, reliability, and continuous improvement of business-critical systems, across all SDLC phases, including testing and deployment support.

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Application Developer – z/OS to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting mainframe applications using COBOL and other z/OS technologies. This role requires strong experience in mainframe development, batch processing, database support, and production support. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working independently and collaboratively while ensuring the stability, reliability, and continuous improvement of business-critical applications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance mainframe applications using COBOL.

• Perform and support JCL and batch processing activities.

• Develop and provide support for applications utilizing DB2 databases.

• Perform application maintenance, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.

• Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Conduct testing and support the deployment of application changes.

• Provide production support and assist in resolving application incidents.

• Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to ensure applications meet business and technical requirements.

• Analyze and troubleshoot system and application issues to identify appropriate solutions.

• Contribute to continuous improvement of development, testing, and support processes.
