Job summary

Conduent Philippines seeks a seasoned Cobol application developer with 5+ years of mainframe experience for financial software projects. You will design, analyze, and program within the architectural blueprint and mentor peers while producing clear documentation.

You will collaborate with multiple delivery teams to integrate enhancements, manage risk, and support production environments. Open to WFH with day shifts; strong domain knowledge required.

Qualifications

• Graduate in IT or related field.
• 5+ years Cobol development including analysis, design and programming on mainframe financial apps.
• 5+ years’ Cobol JCL TSO ISPF VSAM EZTRIEVE CICS IBM-MQ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience with IBM/CA development tools.
• Experience supporting development, infrastructure, IT operations and production support.
• Experience leading projects from design to implementation.
• Experience with B2B communications protocols (FTP/SFTP/FTPS).
• Open to WFH with day shift.

Responsibilities

• Provide domain expertise in applications development and programming while aligning with architecture.
• Partner with delivery teams to integrate enhancements and process improvements.
• Analyze issues and develop innovative solutions.
• Develop knowledge on system integration and infrastructure to meet goals.
• Assess risk with focus on compliance and policy.
• Mentor colleagues with less experience.
• Write and maintain documentation for mainframe apps and processes.
• Self-starter requiring minimal guidance.
