Job summary

Flexible Packaging Products Corporation in Valenzuela, Philippines is seeking a skilled Machinist/Fabricator to support machine shop operations. The role requires operating lathe, milling and shaper machines, inspecting outputs, and adhering to safety and SOPs. The contract is 5 months, with potential for permanent status.

Candidates should have at least a Vocational Diploma in Engineering Mechanical and 2 years of experience; willing to work on-site in Valenzuela, Metro Manila.

Qualifications

Candidate must possess at least a Vocational Diploma/Short Course Certificate in Engineering Mechanical or equivalent and/or Graduate of Industrial technician.
At least 2 Year(s) of working experience in the related field.
Experience in Machine shop works, operating LATHE, MILLING, SHAPER machines, fabrication works, welding, gas cutting and brazing.

Responsibilities

Assist Immediate Superiors to achieve Quality objectives.
Review Work Requests to check details of specifications for the jobs/tasks assigned.
Prepare and check machines (lathe, milling grinder, shaper) and materials for the job.
Operate the machine according to job specifications in the Work Requests.
Monitor machine condition and quality of output during operation.
Prepare daily accomplishment report.
Maintain cleanliness and order in the work area and tools.
Comply with Work Instructions and SOPs and safety standards.
Perform cross functional activities as needed.
Attend meetings and training as required.
Perform other duties related to current job.

Prepares and checks machines (lathe, milling grinder, shaper), material requirements and other details of the job before finally start with a job.

Operates the appropriate machine according to jobs specifications in the Work Requests they receive.

During machine operation, monitors condition of the machine and checks the quality of output from time to time.

Prepares daily accomplishment report.

Helps in maintaining cleanliness and order in the work area, including the assigned machines, materials and tools used.

Performs everyday duties while ensuring compliance to the existing Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedure.

Performs every day duties in accordance with accepted work safety practices and standards, established by the Company in compliance with the provisions of existing laws and government standards.

Performs cross functional activities as needed.

Contract length: 5 months (Project Based)
