Job Summary
The Fabricator is responsible for cutting, shaping, assembling, and repairing metal components according to engineering drawings, specifications, and company quality standards. The role involves the safe operation of fabrication equipment and tools to produce high-quality structural and fabricated products used in construction, solar, and related projects.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and fabrication plans.
- Measure, mark, cut, drill, grind, bend, and shape metal materials according to specifications.
- Assemble fabricated parts using welding, bolting, riveting, or other approved methods.
- Operate fabrication equipment such as cutting machines, grinders, drills, press brakes, and other hand and power tools.
- Inspect fabricated components to ensure dimensional accuracy and compliance with quality standards.
- Repair or modify metal structures and fabricated products as required.
- Coordinate with welders, installers, engineers, and supervisors to complete fabrication work on schedule.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and inventory of fabrication materials and tools.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of fabrication equipment.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and occupational health standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Report equipment defects, material shortages, and safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
- Perform other duties that may be assigned by management related to the position.
Qualifications
- High school graduate, vocational graduate, or equivalent.
- TESDA certification in Welding, Fabrication, or a related technical course is an advantage.
- At least 1–2 years of experience in metal fabrication, structural steel, or construction work is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements.
- Knowledge of fabrication techniques and metalworking processes.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy materials.
- Willing to work overtime and at project sites when required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficiency in using fabrication tools and equipment.
- Basic welding and metal fabrication skills.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments such as tape measures, calipers, and squares.
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions
- Work is primarily performed in a fabrication shop, warehouse, or construction/project site.
- Requires prolonged standing, bending, lifting, carrying, and operating heavy equipment.
- Exposure to noise, heat, dust, sparks, and other industrial conditions.
- Required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
