Job summary

FDC Misamis Power Corporation in Manila is seeking a skilled machinist capable of fabrication, welding, and repair of plant equipment. You will set up and operate lathe, milling, and shaper machines to perform precision machining and contribute to reliable plant operation.

Responsibilities include routine machine maintenance, safety compliance, accurate documentation, teamwork, and willingness to cross-train as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of BS Mechanical Engineering, BS Mechanical Technology, Machining NC II.
• Experience with precision machining and operating basic machine tools.
• Ability to read and evaluate drawings.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, weld, repair and machine components in the machine shop.
• Set up and operate Lathe, Milling, and Shaper machines for precision work.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and diagnose malfunctions.
• Ensure safety standards and proper PPE usage; report hazards.
• Complete all job-related paperwork and reports accurately.
• Support team and participate in cross-training when designated.

Job description

Job Summary

Responsible for the fabrication, machining and repair of all equipment handed to the machine shop from the Main Block, BOP, Water Treatment Plant, Coal & Ash Handling, and other requests inside the plant premises.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. 1. Perform fabrication, welding,repairs and machining works in the machine shop. Set-up, adjust, and operate all the basic machine tools and advanced variation tools in order to performprecision machining operations.
2. 2. Perform routine maintenance(including cleaning) tasks on assigned machines as required. To observe andlisten to operating machines or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions andto determine need for adjustments or repairs.
3. 3. Ensure that safe work practicesare followed and adhered to. Must be familiar to safety standards, safeoperating procedures and safe work practices such as the use of PPE’s, the useof proper tools intended to their purpose. Must also report any Hazard and/orsafety related conditions.
4. 4. Ensure that all job-relatedpaperwork and technical reports are accurately completed and submitted.
5. 5. Contribute to the team ethicsand perform other reasonable duties as required in support of the business.
6. 6. Perform other functions not limited to tasksrelated to the job such as committee and cross training functions ifdesignated.

Technical Competencies and Skills
