Job summary

JGC Philippines, Inc. is seeking a skilled Machinist to perform machine shop operations, equipment overhauling, alignment, balancing, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment. Read blueprints and operate Lathe and Milling machines to support maintenance tasks and enhancements.

Ideal candidates have Vocational training in machine shop practices and hands-on experience with pumps, compressors, and related gear. Willing to be assigned in Palawan to support field needs and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Vocational or trade school training in machine shop practices.
• Experience operating Lathe, Milling, Drill press, Slotter and related machines.
• Hands-on overhaul of pumps, compressors and related equipment is desirable.
• Experience in thermal spray, metal build-up, grinding, and shaft alignment.
• Ability to read blueprints and verify fits and tolerances.

Job description

We are looking for a skilled Machinist to perform machine shop operations, equipment overhauling, alignment, balancing, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment.

Job Qualifications:

• Graduate in Vocational or Trade School Machine Shop practices, or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant prior experience.
• With experience in operating machines (such as Lathe, Milling, Rolling Bending, Drill press, Slotter, On-site Refacing, Hydraulic Press and Test Bench)
• Skilled in overhauling (Boiler Feed Pumps, O2, Air & H2S Compressors, H2S Chilling Unit, Autoclave Bearing Module and Mechanical Seal Assembly, Lightning Agitator Gear Boxes, GEHO Gear Boxes, On-site Bearing Replacement, Pop Testing, Lapping & Reconditioning of PSV's, and Valve Reconditioning (PCV, Rotary, etc.))
• With hands-on experience in thermal spray, metal build-up, and grinding works.
• With experience in conducting shaft alignment using reverse dial and laser alignment methods.
• Can perform static and dynamic balancing.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are performed safely and according to company standards.
• Knowledgeable in machining methods, processes, fit, and tolerances.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Willing to be assigned in Palawan.
