Advantek Inc. in Cebu City seeks a skilled Machinist to set up and operate CNC and manual machines, fabricate tooling and parts, and maintain accurate measurements.
You will manage inventory through the ERP, inspect parts against drawings, uphold safety, collaborate on process improvements, and keep the shop organized and clean.
Experience with CAM programs and measuring tools is preferred. Strong blueprint reading and precision skills are essential for on-time delivery.
The Machinist sets up and operates CNC and manual machines to fabricate tooling, jigs, and parts. This role manages material inventory using an ERP system, ensures accurate measurements and part validation, and maintains equipment cleanliness. The Machinist also performs equipment upkeep, requests supplies, and oversees the organization and cleanliness of the machine shop.
Operates CNC machines (including mill and lathe) and inputs CAM programs.
Operates manual machines such as mill, lathe, and surface grinder.
Utilizes measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner
Reads and interprets part drawings
Uses gauges, measuring instruments, inspection tools to meet specific tolerance requirements
Recognizes, deploys and proper uses of cutting tools, fixtures and tooling
Uses the ERP system to scan tooling/supplies in order to maintain inventory
Maintains equipment and ensures the work area is clean and safe at all times.
Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
Participates in planning for policies, procedures, systems, problem-solving, and performance monitoring by serving on committees, task forces, and project teams.
Performs other duties related to and implied by the responsibilities listed above.
Certificate, degree, or equivalent experience in machining
Knowledge of mechanical components
Knowledge of engineering drawings/prints
Ability to perform basic mathematical computations
Familiarity with MS Office applications
