Job summary

Philippine Span Asia Carrier Corp. (Manila) is seeking an experienced Machinist to perform machining, fabrication, repair, and precision measurement of mechanical components for vessel and industrial equipment.

You will operate milling and lathe machines, fabricate gears and splines, and support maintenance activities. The candidate should have 5+ years in machining, be proficient with lathe/milling operations, and possess strong skills in precision measurement and tolerances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical program.
• Minimum 5 years of machining, fabrication, or machine shop experience.
• Proficiency with lathe and milling machines.
• Skilled in gear and spline fabrication, boring, drilling, honing, and welding.
• Experience with precision measurement, calibration, and tolerances.
• Experience in marine or vessel repair is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate milling and lathe machines for machining and fabrication works.
• Fabricate and repair spur gears, splines, worn gears, and other mechanical components.
• Perform welding, boring, drilling, honing, and related machining activities.
• Conduct precision measurements, calibration, and quality checks using appropriate measuring tools.
• Read and interpret basic technical drawings and specifications.
• Perform machine shop work safely and efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Support the Machinist Supervisor in daily fabrication, repair, and maintenance activities.
