Job summary

Universal Robina Corporation is seeking a Machine Shop Supervisor to oversee machining, welding, and fabrication activities in the machine shop, ensuring quality and safety.

You will plan and prioritize tasks, manage manpower and tools, interpret technical drawings, and lead a skilled team to meet maintenance schedules.

This role collaborates with Maintenance Planners and Production to optimize processes, improve reliability, and ensure compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Licensed Mechanical Engineer (LME).
• Extensive experience in machining, fabrication, and welding in industrial settings.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Proven supervisory, mentoring, and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily machining, welding, and fabrication activities in the machine shop.
• Plan and prioritize tasks to meet maintenance and repair schedules.
• Ensure effective utilization of manpower, tools, and equipment.
• Inspect completed work to verify compliance with specifications and tolerances.
• Maintain documentation of fabrication processes and inspection results.
• Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure timely availability of resources.
• Work closely with Maintenance Planners, Technicians, and Supervisors to align machine shop activities with maintenance goals.
• Communicate effectively with production teams to maximize equipment uptime during repairs.
• Enforce safety protocols and regulatory standards.
