Job summary

Universal Robina Corporation in Batangas is seeking a Machine Shop Supervisor to oversee daily machining, welding, and fabrication, ensuring quality and timely maintenance. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and an LME, with extensive hands-on experience.

You’ll coordinate with Maintenance and Production teams, manage tools and materials, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Licensed Mechanical Engineer (LME) certification is required.
• Extensive experience in machining, fabrication, and welding in industrial/manufacturing settings.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily machining, welding, and fabrication activities in the machine shop.
• Plan and prioritize tasks to meet maintenance and repair schedules.
• Ensure fabricated components meet technical specifications and quality standards.
• Manage inventory of tools, consumables, and raw materials used in the machine shop.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Planners, Technicians, and Supervisors to align activities with maintenance goals.
• Support Shift Supervisors by providing fabricated parts for scheduled maintenance tasks.
• Communicate effectively with production teams to maximize equipment uptime during repairs.
• Identify opportunities to enhance machining and fabrication processes and implement improvements.
