Job summary

Universal Robina Corporation Sugar and Renewables Passi is seeking a Maintenance Shift Supervisor to lead the mechanical maintenance team in our sugar plant. The role emphasizes reliability, uptime, preventive and predictive maintenance, and strong safety leadership.

You will develop maintenance strategies, supervise spare parts inventory, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with production and engineering to minimize downtime while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; licensure advantageous.
• 5+ years in mechanical maintenance/engineering with heavy machinery.
• Leadership experience supervising maintenance operations and teams.

Responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical maintenance team across plant equipment.
• Develop and oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
• Ensure equipment reliability and uptime through planning.
• Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for failures.
• Manage spare parts inventory and cost optimization.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
• Provide technical guidance and training to the team.
• Coordinate with production, planning, and engineering teams.
• Document maintenance activities and generate performance reports.
• Drive continuous improvement in reliability and efficiency.
