Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd in Metro Manila is seeking a senior corporate finance professional to originate and execute deals, lead M&A processes, advise on strategy, structuring and negotiation, and provide sector insight to clients.

You will manage multiple transactions, act as the main client contact, drive timelines as project manager, expand the firm’s brand and origination capabilities, and mentor junior colleagues while collaborating with specialists worldwide.

Qualifications

• Track record of originating and executing corporate finance deals in investment banking, corporate finance, or corporate development.
• Strong experience leading corporate finance/M&A processes (marketing, due diligence, etc.), analysis (financial models, valuation, buyer/seller universe, strategic alternatives, etc.), and completion of deliverables.
• Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
• Sound commercial judgment and an ability to generate creative solutions to problems; ability to identify potential deal opportunities.
• Able to demonstrate confidence in client situations, gaining client acceptance and establishing value through advice and sector insight.
• Experience in working on tight deadlines, thinking clearly under pressure and maintaining team morale during lengthy and challenging transactions.
• Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Extensive business network.

Responsibilities

• Originate and deliver transaction ideas and identify opportunities.
• Support new business development and pitch documents; take a lead role in client pitches.
• Liaise with and advise clients on transaction strategy including tactics, deal structuring and negotiation strategy.
• Lead multiple projects and transactions at any given time.
• Act as a main contact point for clients during the transaction process.
• Play a critical role as the project manager on teams, driving the transaction timetable and ensuring quality on all client deliverables, as well as managing counterparties and advisers to ensure milestones are met.
• Develop deep sector expertise and your own business network, assuming responsibility for the development of SGV's brand as well as your own origination capabilities in those sectors over the medium term.
• Interact with different specialists within the firm and colleagues across the globe to deliver enhanced transaction solutions.
• Lead, develop and counsel junior colleagues and take an active role in the growth and development of the whole team.
