Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Makati, a luxury five-star property opening in 2026, seeks a professional Lifeguard to ensure guest safety at the pool and wellness areas in Manila, Philippines. You will monitor pool activities, respond to emergencies with CPR/AED and first aid, uphold health, safety, and service standards, and collaborate with Spa & Wellness teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Fluent in English with a calm, vigilant presence; flexibility to work shifts, weekends and holidays is

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; hospitality, recreation, or sports-related qualifications are an advantage.
• Valid Lifeguard Certification from a recognized training organization.
• Valid First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional, professional, and personalized service to all guests utilizing the pool and wellness facilities.
• Welcome guests and provide information regarding pool facilities, operating hours, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a visible and approachable presence while ensuring a safe and enjoyable guest experience.
• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests and enquiries.
• Uphold LQE, MOQA, and Spa & Wellness service standards at all times.
• Maintain professional grooming and presentation in accordance with Mandarin Oriental standards.
