Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Makati is preparing to reopen as a 5-star luxury hotel in Manila. The Accounts Payable Clerk will handle AP transactions with precision during pre-opening and operations, maintaining controls and supporting internal stakeholders.

You will work with vendors, ensure timeliness of payments, and contribute to SOPs, audits, and financial system setup. Requires diploma or bachelor in accounting and 1-2 years AP experience in hospitality.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 1-2 years of accounts payable experience, preferably in hotel or hospitality.
• Experience with hotel accounting systems or ERP platforms is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices accurately with approvals, correct coding, and compliance.
• Match invoices to POs, contracts, and GRNs; resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and process payment runs per terms and cash guidelines.
• Maintain organized, auditable AP filing system.
• Assist in AP module setup and testing in the financial system.
• Assist vendor onboarding: docs, bank details verification, compliance checks.
• Contribute to AP SOP development and documentation.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and approval matrices.
• Support audits with schedules and reconciliations.
• Comply with local tax rules and policies.
• Be professional contact for suppliers; resolve inquiries.
• Collaborate with Procurement/Receiving/Operations for smooth P2P.
• Ensure payments are accurate and timely.
• Assist month-end closing: AP aging, accruals, reconciliations.
