Job summary

Trans World Trading Company, Incorporated is seeking an organized logistics assistant to help plan and manage the flow of goods across receiving, storage and delivery processes. You will support transportation coordination, inventory checks and documentation to ensure timely, accurate deliveries to customers.

• Assist in planning and managing logistics, transportation, distribution and monitoring the flow of goods.
• Assist in maintaining an equipment structure and level to accomplish receiving and delivery assignments safely and effectively.
• Provide assistance to ensure appropriate equipment and racking for safe transport of materials.
• Religiously implements FIFO or FEFO as applicable.
• Assist in preparing records of reported machine parts, maintenance and breakdowns of delivery vehicles and equipment; report monthly.
• Help ensure materials are stored for counting inspection and timely submission of receiving reports.
• Assist in checking items to ensure correct products are delivered to customers on time and at a good cost.
• Assist in designing and applying procurement and inventory control procedures from inspection of materials through delivery of finished goods.
• Assist in planning and controlling the flow of incoming and outgoing products to ensure timely delivery to customers.
• Check labels for accuracy against supporting documents.
• Ensure customer requirements are complete and correct before dispatching delivery vehicles.
• Help ensure delivery vehicles are used for official business only.
• Monitor delivery status to customers and ensure goods arrive in good condition at customer sites; ensure delivery documents are returned to warehouse.
• Monitor cash collections turnover during delivery and ensure proper handling.
• Ensure only approved warehouse items are received and released.
• Assist in coordinating deliveries with in-house trucks and third-party providers.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job description

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning and managing logistics, transportation, distribution and monitoring the flow of goods.

• Assist in Maintaining an equipment structure and level to accomplish the receiving and delivery assignments in a safe, effective manner.

• Provides assistance to ensure appropriate equipment and racking to ensure the safe transport of all materials.

• Religiously implements First-In First-Out (FIFO) or First Expiring First Out (FEFO) whichever is applicable.

• Assist in the preparation of records of all reported machine parts, maintenance and breakdowns of delivery vehicles and material handling equipment and report to the President/CEO and EVP/COO on a monthly basis.

• Helps to ensure materials are stored for counting inspection and the receiving reports are accurately and timely submitted.

• Assist in checking items to ensure that the right products are delivered to the Customer on time and at a good cost.

• Provides assistance in designing and applying purchasing and inventory control procedures from inspection of raw materials through delivery of the finished goods, including monitoring or reporting inventories in transit

• Assist in planning and controlling the flow of incoming and outgoing products to ensure customers receive products on time.

• Checks that the labels indicated in the items are correct and matches the information indicated in the supporting documents

• Checks and Ensures that all customer requirements are complete and correct prior to dispatching the delivery vehicle

• Help in ensuring that delivery vehicles are being used for "Official Business" only

• Provide assistance in monitoring the status of deliveries to customers and ensures that goods are delivered in good condition, reached the customer's warehouse or delivery location, and receiving copies of delivery documents are returned to the warehouse.

• Ensures and Monitors the turnover of cash collections during delivery

• Ensures that only approved warehouse items are to be received in the warehouse and released from the warehouse.

• Assist in coordinating deliveries with in-house trucks and/or third party trucking providers.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.
