• Bachelor’s degree in any four-year course.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in logistics operations, procurement, strategic sourcing, or related functions.
• Strong international freight experience, particularly in ocean and/or air freight forwarding, customs clearance, and trucking.
• Proven experience in logistics procurement, pricing, and sourcing in a global freight forwarding environment.
• Hands-on experience preparing and evaluating quotations, RFQs, freight rates, and commercial proposals.
• Direct experience coordinating and negotiating with couriers, carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics service providers.
• Strong negotiation and deal-making skills with ability to secure favorable terms.

Logistics Service Procurement Specialist

Work Setup: Daily Onsite

Work Schedule:

Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Compressed Workweek)

Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Saturday and Sunday: Rest Days

We are seeking an experienced Senior Logistics Procurement Specialist to drive strategic sourcing, supplier selection, logistics pricing, and cost optimization initiatives. The role will manage logistics partner relationships, lead competitive bidding activities, and provide market insights to support cost-efficient and sustainable business operations.

Key Responsibilities

Source and identify qualified logistics service providers based on customer and business requirements.

Lead logistics partner selection through RFQs, profitability simulations, rate and commercial negotiations, and price and operational evaluations in coordination with bidding committees.

Manage the qualified logistics partner pool, including conducting credit assessments and periodic partner reviews.

Develop and recommend competitive logistics service rates to support efficient business operations and profitability.

Drive logistics cost innovation initiatives to improve cost efficiency and enhance business performance.

Research and analyze logistics market conditions, including market demand, supply capacity, and industry trends, to identify potential risks and opportunities.

Develop market-based insights and forecasts to support proactive decision-making and minimize operational and commercial risks.

Monitor and manage logistics market condition indices to facilitate early identification of market and business risks.

Build and maintain strong relationships with logistics service providers and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in any four-year course.

10+ years of relevant experience in logistics operations, procurement, strategic sourcing, or related functions.

Strong international freight experience, particularly in ocean and/or air freight forwarding, customs clearance, and trucking.

Proven experience in logistics procurement, pricing, and sourcing, preferably within a global freight forwarding or logistics environment.

Hands-on experience preparing and evaluating quotations, RFQs, freight rates, and commercial proposals.

Direct experience coordinating and negotiating with couriers, carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics service providers.

Strong background in supplier sourcing, bidding, partner evaluation, and commercial negotiations.

Demonstrated strong negotiation and deal-making skills, with the ability to secure competitive rates and favorable commercial terms.

Experience in an ocean-line company, particularly in ocean freight sales or business development, is an advantage.

Experience with customs clearance and port trucking operations is preferred.

Strong analytical and commercial acumen, with the ability to assess pricing, market conditions, supplier performance, and cost opportunities.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other standard business applications.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external logistics partners.
