Job summary

II-VI Laser Enterprise Philippines, Inc. is seeking an experienced Logistics Operations Manager to oversee daily logistics, import/export, and warehouse coordination in the Philippines.

You will ensure timely movement of materials and finished goods, coordinate with 3PLs and customs brokers, and monitor shipment status to prevent delays. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in logistics or supply chain, with strong ERP and Excel skills, and a background in manufacturing or electronics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, business administration, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or import/export operations.
• Experience in manufacturing/semiconductor/electronics environment preferred.
• Strong background in international shipping and customs compliance (Philippines).

Job description

1. Logistics Operations Management

• Oversee daily logistics operations (import/export, local deliveries, warehouse coordination)
• Ensure timely movement of materials, components, and finished goods
• Monitor shipment status, resolve delays, and communicate updates to stakeholders
• Coordinate with 3PL providers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers

2. Import / Export & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with Philippine customs regulations, PEZA requirements (if applicable), and international trade laws
• Review shipping documents (commercial invoice, packing list, B/L, AWB, permits)
• Manage import/export permits and licenses
• Handle customs clearance issues

3. Cost & Performance Optimization

• Monitor logistics costs (freight, duties, storage, brokerage fees)
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements

4. Stakeholder Coordination

• Collaborate closely with Procurement, Planning, Production, and Customer Service teams
• Align logistics activities with production schedules and customer requirements
• Liaise with global counterparts for international shipments

5. Systems & Reporting

• Utilize ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) for shipment transactions and inventory movement
• Prepare reports on shipment performance, delays, and cost analysis
• Maintain accurate logistics records and documentation

6. Continuous Improvement

• Support logistics process improvement initiatives
• Automate daily monitoring
• Participate in audits (ISO, internal, external compliance audits)

Education

Bachelor’s Degree In Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or related field

Experience

• 3–5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or import/export operations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Experience in a manufacturing / semiconductor / electronics environment is highly preferred
• Strong background in international shipping and customs compliance (Philippines)

Special Abilities & Key Competencies

Knowledge of:

• Import/export regulations (Philippine Customs, PEZA, BOC)
• Incoterms (FOB, CIF, EXW, etc.)
• Freight management (air/sea/land)
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, reporting)
