Job summary

Mikami Rice Marketing in the Philippines is seeking a Fleet Procurement & Operations Coordinator to manage truck parts purchasing and fleet maintenance coordination. The role involves supplier sourcing, price negotiations, and ensuring timely parts delivery, while overseeing registrations and maintenance needs.

The candidate will travel within Bulacan and NCR, coordinate with drivers and mechanics, and drive improvements for fleet efficiency and cost control.

Qualifications

• Own motorcycle and ability to drive a 4-wheel service car is a plus.
• Experience in purchasing, procurement, and parts.
• Knowledge of truck parts, diesel engines, and vehicle maintenance.
• Strong negotiation and supplier coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Purchasing of Truck parts and spare parts; source and evaluate suppliers.
• Coordinate with truck mechanics for repairs and maintenance.
• Monitor fleet operations: loading, trips, and punctuality.
• Conduct safety briefings and enforce guidelines with drivers and helpers.
• Oversee vehicle registrations, warranty, and insurance claims.
• Monitor ongoing repairs and preventive maintenance scheduling.

Responsibilities

Purchasing of Truck parts

• Travel within bulacan and NCR area to look and canvass for truck spare parts
• Coordinate with truck mechanics with all Job Orders for truck repairs and maintenance
• Source, evaluate, and purchase truck parts, spare parts, and maintenance materials
• Request, compare, and analyze supplier quotations and maintain accurate purchasing, inventory, and supplier records.
• Ensure compliance with procurement and audit requirements.

Fleet Operations

• Receive and diagnose reported trouble/issues on fleet trucks
• Monitor fuel consumption
• Monitor the loading of trucks, trip progress, and unloading; help ensure punctuality of truck departures and arrivals
• Conduct daily toolbox meeting with the drivers and truck helpers where new safety and administrative guidelines; global safety alerts; and other issues are discussed
• Recommend programs to improve/streamline fleet operations
• Arrange work schedules of drivers and truck helpers
• Counsel team members who are not meeting performance standards
• Oversee processing of vehicle registrations, warranty claims, and insurance claims
• Monitor progress of ongoing vehicle repairs
• Monitor upcoming preventive maintenance service requirements and schedule visits to the service center
