Job summary

UP Diliman Library System is seeking a candidate for a position involving consolidation, analysis of library data, and writing research proposals and publications. The role includes assisting with internal library research projects and data requests.

The duties cover data compilation, writing and editing news items, press releases, ARTA documentation support, and preparation of minutes and bibliographic guides. Training is minimal and experience is not required.

Qualifications

• AB or BS degree relevant to the nature of the work in the position.
• No experience required.
• No training required.
• Either the Bachelor’s degree or the graduate work required should be relevant to the nature of the work in the position.

Responsibilities

• Consolidation/compilation and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data related to the University Library.
• Writing of research project proposals that involve the UP Diliman Library System or one or more of its sub-units.
• Writing research papers, news articles and press releases and other related communications of the University Library.
• Identification and assistance on internal (Library-initiated) research and development projects and Respond to University Librarian-approved requests for data on the University Library (e.g. history, statistical profile, etc.)
• Assist in ARTA document preparation and promotional materials for the University Library and its collections and services.
• Computerized design and layout of University Library reports and publications and assistance in preparation of minutes of meetings and other documentation tasks.
• Other communications-marketing and/or research-related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time e.g. preparing/updating library information brochures and bibliographic research guides, gathering, writing/encoding/editing data/news items for the UP Library Newsletter (Aninaw).
