Dominic and Sons Realty & Development Corporation in Davao City is seeking a Legal Property Officer to manage all legal affairs across the organization, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.

You will prepare and review contracts, draft government correspondence, and provide legal guidance to teams while collaborating with agencies and external partners.

• Law degree or studying law (2nd/3rd year)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of applicable laws, rules and regulations

Responsabilités

• Prepare and review legal documents such as deeds, quitclaims, contracts, MOAs, and other agreements
• Draft letters to government offices for business or legal concerns
• Ensure key issues and needs of the company are addressed
• Review proposed contracts to protect company interests
• Attend meetings with government offices to advocate for the company
• Collaborate with other organizations and networks as needed
• Conduct legal research on applicable laws and jurisprudence
• Prepare legal opinions or memoranda for company matters
• Provide legal advice to the team on liabilities and actions
• Monitor compliance and timely submission of legal documents

About the role

The Legal Property Officer oversees all legal affairs of the organization, both internal and external legal concerns.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review legal documents including but not limited to Deed of Sale, Quitclaims, Contact to Sell, Memorandum of Agreement, and other contracts
• Draft letters to various government offices in relation to the business or legal concern of the company
• Ensure that the key issues and needs of the company are addressed
• Review proposed contract to ensure that the interests of the company are well-protected and sufficiently covered
• Attend meetings with various government offices and to advocate on behalf of the company to said government agencies and other organizations
• Work collaboratively with other organizations and networks where appropriate
• Conduct legal research and applicable laws and jurisprudence on various issues
• Prepare legal opinion and/or memorandum on matters that need to be addressed by the company
• Provide legal advice and brief team on legal issues, potential liabilities and possible courses of actions
• Perform and monitor compliance and timely submission of legal documents

About you

• Law Degree or at least 2nd or 3rd year law student
• Preferably with at least 1-year paralegal working experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of all applicable laws, rules and regulations
• High attention to detail
• Strong negotiation skills
