PHirst Park Homes by Century Properties Group, Inc. is seeking a Corporate Lawyer to join its Legal Services team in Makati. The role concentrates on corporate law, compliance, due diligence, board and shareholder support, and preparation of reports and budgets.

The successful candidate must hold a JD/LLB, be admitted to the Philippine Bar, and have 2–4 years in corporate law/land management plus 1–2 years of litigation experience. On-site work in Makati is required.

Responsibilities

• Review cases, contracts, and compliance requirements.
• Provide legal opinions to departments and support legal functions.
• Monitor submissions/compliances with government agencies for Technical Services and Legal Services.
• Act as Assistant Corporate Secretary during Board/Shareholder meetings; alternate Compliance Officer when needed.
• Assist Legal Director with department concerns and reporting.
• Coordinate and prepare documentary requirements for Board and Shareholder meetings; contribute to the department budget.

Job description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To handle cases, contracts review, compliances, legal due diligence, provide legal opinion to the different departments, and such other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
• To monitor the required submissions/compliances of the Technical Services Group as well as those for the Legal Services with the various government agencies.
• To act as the Assistant Corporate Secretary during Board/Shareholder meetings, alternate Compliance Officer before government agencies, and other legal functions as may be assigned from time to time or as may be required by law.
• To assist the Legal Director on the concerns of Department and the Corporation, where necessary, and in the preparation of reports.
• To coordinate and prepare all documentary requirements needed for Board and Shareholders Meetings.
• To initially prepare the Department's Budget for review and approval of the Legal Director.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) or Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree
• Admitted to the Philippine Bar
• With at least 2 - 4 years of strong background in Corporate Law / Land Management
• With at least 1 - 2 years of litigation experience

Knowledge:

• Labor Code of the Philippines
• Civil Code of the Philippines
• Corporation Code of the Philippines
• Tax Code of the Philippines
• Various Laws in Real Estate
• Working knowledge on taxation and criminal law is an advantage

Skills:

• Good management and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
