Alba Renewables is seeking a hands-on in-house lawyer to be our legal partner across the business, from boardroom to project site.

This true generalist role involves drafting board resolutions, negotiating EPC and other project agreements, and supporting regulatory filings and compliance across the Philippines.

Qualifications

• LLB or JD and IBP member in good standing.
• 6-10 years of post-bar experience, ideally mix of top-tier law firm and in-house.
• Experience in energy, power or infrastructure projects (renewables a strong plus).
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
• Sound commercial judgement and the confidence to work as the sole in-country lawyer.
• Nice to have: project finance or M&A exposure, FIDIC and PPA contract experience, DPO experience, multinational exposure.

Responsabilités

• Draft board resolutions and negotiate EPC, supply, O&M, grid connection, offtake, project financing agreements, as well as M&A transactions.
• Manage claims and disputes.
• Manage corporate secretarial work for the company and its project SPVs.
• Advise management on day-to-day legal, operational and employment matters.
• Supervise external counsels, as needed.
• Oversee compliance with internal policies (anti-bribery, AML, procurement, KYC, data privacy & ethics) and enforce enterprise risk management.

Alba Renewables develops and operates projects in the onshore wind, solar, and energy storage sectors across the Asia-Pacific region. The company manages the full lifecycle of renewable energy assets, from greenfield development through construction, operation, and commercialization, with a focus on attractive risk/reward markets.

Alba Renewables is building a portfolio of solar, wind and battery storage projects in the Philippines. We're looking for a hands-on in-house lawyer to be our legal partner across the business, from boardroom to project site.

This is a true generalist role. One day you'll be drafting board resolutions, the next you'll be negotiating an EPC contract or working through a DOE filing.

What You'll Do

Project Support

• Support the Business Development team in ensuring regulatory compliance (e.g., DOE, ERC, SEC, BIR, DENR and LGU requirements)
• Support negotiation and drafting of EPC, supply, O&M, grid connection, offtake, project financing agreements as well as M&A transactions
• Manage claims and disputes

General Legal Support

• Manage corporate secretarial work for the company and its project SPVs
• Advise management on day-to-day legal, operational and employment matters
• Supervise external counsels, as needed
• Oversee compliance with internal policies (including anti-bribery and corruption, anti-money laundering, procurement and third-party KYC screening, data privacy & ethics) and enforce enterprise risk management initiatives
• Manage internal and external reporting obligations around compliance and risk

Qualifications

• LLB or JD, and a member in good standing of the IBP
• 6-10 years of post-bar experience, ideally a mix of top-tier law firm and in-house experience
• Experience in energy, power or infrastructure projects (renewables a strong plus)
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills
• Sound commercial judgement and the confidence to work as the sole in-country lawyer
• Nice to have: project finance or M&A exposure, FIDIC and PPA contract experience, Data Privacy Officer (DPO) experience, exposure to a multinational setting.
