Job summary

vertexsolutions is seeking a Renewables Senior Contracts Manager based in Makati, Philippines, Open to Expats. The role focuses on contract preparation, negotiation, and compliance oversight across solar, wind, and energy storage projects.

You will coordinate with EPCs and vendors, manage project documentation, and ensure timely, compliant project execution from contract inception to closeout. Excellent English communication and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in contract management for utility-scale renewable energy or power projects
• Engineering and/or business-related educational background
• 10+ years' experience in EPC contract management and negotiation
• FIDIC certification or equivalent contract management training required
• Strong knowledge of EPC, PPA and O&M agreements
• Familiarity with utility-scale wind and solar projects
• Working knowledge of project management tools, FIDIC templates and project implementation insurance
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

Responsibilities

• Assist in drafting and negotiating contracts alongside technical and legal teams
• Ensure compliance with local and international legal requirements; identify and analyse potential risks; maintain organised records throughout negotiations
• Support permitting and jurisdictional approval processes required for the construction phase of projects
• Apply strong contract management and negotiation skills, including contract specification, EPC contractor selection, and project implementation insurance
• Support review and oversight of EPC contractors - schedules, budgets, scope, subcontractors, EHS plans and permit compliance
• Coordinate with EPC contractors and equipment vendors to ensure adherence to contract terms and deliverables in line with project budget and schedule
• Lead or support the preparation of legal correspondence - notices issued or responses received - ensuring factual accuracy and contractual soundness
• Support project quality control and safe construction practices through site inspections, coordinating with third parties as needed
• Lead or facilitate project status meetings with utilities, EPCs, off-takers and financing counterparties, presenting a clear project plan and status dashboard
• Manage and organise project documentation for internal and external stakeholders and financing requirements, using the client's SharePoint filing structure
• Support additional duties as required
