Job Description:
The Learning and Development Officer will be responsible for supporting the organization’s learning initiatives, employee development programs, and training activities. The role will work closely with different departments to identify development needs, design relevant learning interventions, coordinate training programs, and evaluate their effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
Learning Needs Analysis & Planning
- Conduct training needs analysis to identify knowledge, skill, and competency gaps across teams and employee levels.
- Collaborate with department heads, HR Business Partners, and key stakeholders to identify learning priorities and development requirements.
- Develop annual and periodic learning plans aligned with organizational and business objectives.
Training Program Development
- Design and develop learning and development programs based on identified employee and organizational needs.
- Create training materials, presentations, facilitator guides, learning modules, activities, assessments, and other learning resources.
- Develop learning programs covering technical, behavioral, leadership, communication, customer service, and professional development areas.
Training Facilitation & Delivery
- Facilitate classroom, virtual, blended, and other learning sessions for employees across different levels.
- Deliver engaging training sessions using appropriate adult learning and facilitation techniques.
- Conduct onboarding and orientation programs for new employees.
Training Program Coordination
- Manage the end-to-end coordination of training programs, including schedules, participants, venues, facilitators, materials, and other logistical requirements.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external training providers to ensure smooth program delivery.
- Manage training calendars and ensure programs are delivered within agreed timelines.
Learning Evaluation & Effectiveness
- Develop and administer training evaluations, surveys, assessments, and knowledge checks.
- Gather and analyze participant feedback to determine training effectiveness and areas for improvement.
- Track learning outcomes and identify opportunities to improve existing programs.
Learning Management & Documentation
- Maintain accurate and updated training records, attendance sheets, completion reports, and employee learning profiles.
- Manage and update learning resources, training materials, and other L&D documentation.
- Support the administration and utilization of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other digital learning platforms.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Education, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in Learning & Development, Training, Talent Development, Organizational Development, or a related HR function.
- Experience in training needs analysis, training program development, facilitation, and program coordination.
- Demonstrated experience in developing training materials, presentations, learning modules, or other educational resources.
- Experience facilitating training sessions for different employee levels and audiences.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and learning methodologies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple programs and deadlines.
