Job summary

Toyota Alabang, Inc. (TAI) is seeking a Service Shop Supervisor to lead the workshop team in delivering high-quality vehicle repairs and maintenance. You will supervise technicians, ensure 5S standards, coordinate repair orders, and uphold safety and customer satisfaction across the service department.

Responsibilities include QC inspections, training apprentices, assisting with diagnostics, and communicating delays to service advisors while maintaining a clean, efficient work environment.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of any 2-4 year Automotive/Technical Course
  • Work Experience : Experience with all necessary aspects of vehicle mechanisms and systems.
  • Knowledge & Skills : Computer literate
  • Engine, drive train, chassis and electrical experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting stoppages/delays/change of work to the Foreman / Job Controller (e.g. the technician cannot complete the job on the estimated time; according to the result of repair, additional parts will be needed)
  • Conducting road test outside workshop based on the specified route
  • Contribute to achieving customer satisfaction criteria by ensuring proper execution of customers service and repair requirements and vehicle delivery on time
  • Ensure consistently high quality work of all service and repairs
  • Ensuring all apprentices and technicians are adequately trained
  • Ensure a safe working environment
  • Ensure efficient execution of all repair orders through providing sufficient tools and equipment
  • Maintain zero comebacks by conducting final quality inspections and instructing technicians on self check procedures
  • Ensure technician retention and satisfaction (meet minimum Technician turnover rate)
  • Maintain Technician motivation and morale
  • Ensure all customers’ vehicles are returned in a clean condition
  • Maintain a clean and orderly service shop through the 5S principles
  • Ensure that all items on the repair order are completed in a timely manner
  • Keep Service Shop Controller and Service Advisors constantly informed of delays and additional work found
  • Ensure all Technicians are appropriately dressed and ready for work on time
  • Assist technicians with diagnosis of difficult repairs
  • Support the Service Advisors during morning and afternoon rush
  • Maintain a tools and equipment maintenance register
  • Maintain a clean and orderly service department
  • Conduct, record and report results of Quality Control Inspections
  • Attend all new model training courses and conduct in-house training for all technicians
  • Ensure all required Special Service Tools are available and in good working order
  • Ensure that all vehicles are fitted with adequate courtesy items (Floor Mats, Fender Covers, Seat Covers)
  • Acknowledge good performance of technicians
  • Conduct regular 5S Technician meetings
  • Monitor, record, and identify the causes of vehicle carryovers
  • Monitor and record the causes of Repeat Repairs
  • Maintain clear and open communication between service shop controller and service advisors
  • Assist Service Advisors with repair explanation when required
  • Maintenance, control and distribution of all product service technical bulletins and repair manuals
  • Lead, control and motivate the service technicians
  • Keep Service Advisors informed of possible sales and profit opportunities
  • Authorized to monitor and assist with all maintenance and repair work
  • Performs other tasks that may be assigned by the management
