Job summary

CKI BUILDERS & ENGINEERING SERVICES is seeking a Safety Officer to lead the site safety program and ensure DOLE-OSH compliance across projects in the Philippines. You will supervise Safety Officers, coordinate with project engineers, and oversee risk assessments and safety audits to maintain a safe working environment.

You will conduct safety orientations, investigate incidents, and prepare reports while coordinating with DOLE and authorities.

Qualifications

Proven ability to lead safety teams and coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and workers.
Strong understanding of DOLE-OSH standards and CSHP.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills in a construction setting.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee the site safety program and ensure compliance with DOLE-OSH requirements.
Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits.
Supervise Safety Officers and coordinate with project engineers, supervisors, and workers.
Monitor high-risk activities such as working at heights, scaffolding, excavation, lifting, and hot works.
Conduct safety orientations, toolbox meetings, and training.
Investigate accidents and near misses and recommend corrective actions.
Prepare and review safety reports and OSH documentation.
Monitor implementation of CSHP.
Coordinate with DOLE during inspections.
Recommend or implement work stoppage when hazards are identified.
