Job summary

Far East Industrial Supply & Co., Inc. is seeking a Safety Officer to implement and monitor OSH policies on site in the Philippines. You will conduct site inspections, ensure PPE compliance, and oversee safety documentation and incident investigations.

The role requires a DOLE-accredited Safety Officer certification (BOSH/COSH) and a background in construction/industrial projects. Strong communication and reporting skills are essential, with a focus on prevention and emergency readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in OSH, engineering, or related field is preferred.
• Must have valid DOLE-accredited Safety Officer certification (BOSH/COSH).
• Experience as Safety Officer in construction, industrial, fabrication, plant, or engineering projects is desirable.
• Knowledge of Philippine OSH Standards and DOLE requirements.
• Strong hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident prevention knowledge.
• Good documentation and report-writing skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• First Aid and BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct toolbox meetings, safety orientations, and related activities.
• Monitor proper use of PPE and compliance with safety procedures.
• Prepare and maintain safety reports, checklists, and incident reports.
• Assist in investigating workplace accidents and near-misses; recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with project management, workers, and personnel on safety concerns.
• Monitor high-risk activities and ensure safety controls are implemented.
• Ensure proper implementation of work permits, safety procedures, and emergency protocols.
• Assist in emergency preparedness, drills, and response activities.
• Promote a strong safety culture and encourage safe work practices.
