Job Summary:
We're expanding our team with a detail-oriented Investor Research Assistant to help identify the right decision-makers at a large list of institutional investor organizations. Using a contact database, you'll find the people who make investment decisions and compile their contact details in a structured spreadsheet. The ideal teammate is a sharp researcher with strong English skills, good judgment, and the initiative to work through a high-volume list accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
Research about 300 investor organizations to find the individuals responsible for investment decisions
Search ZoomInfo using a provided list of probable job titles to locate the relevant contacts at each organization
Compile up to 10 suitable contacts per organization when several people match the target titles
Collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, and LinkedIn profiles for every contact
Enter and maintain all findings accurately in Excel spreadsheets
Review organization structures to identify the right person when job titles don't match exactly
Flag organizations without a clear match so they can be reviewed together
Identify contacts who have left their company or whose details are out of date
Add new organizations and contacts to the list as further referrals come in
Mandatory Skills:
Proven experience in lead research, data research, or contact sourcing
Hands-on experience with contact databases such as ZoomInfo, Apollo, or similar platforms
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, including accurate data entry and organization
Strong English reading and writing skills
Good judgment in choosing the right decision-maker from a list of similar job titles
Familiarity with LinkedIn for researching professional profiles
Well-organized, trustworthy, and capable of independent work
Strong communication skills
Preferred Skills:
College graduate
Experience researching contacts in finance, investment, or institutional organizations
Background in B2B lead generation or sales development research
Ability to verify contact information and spot outdated records
Ability to manage a large, ongoing research list with consistent quality
Experience working with senior-level decision-makers or corporate hierarchies
