Emapta Global is seeking a Lead Product Owner to strengthen product strategy, optimize Agile backlogs, and improve delivery outcomes across our global operations from the Ortigas office. The Qualifications We Seek

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Professional Experience

• More than 5 to 7 years of experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, Business Analysis, or a related product discipline, with demonstrated experience in product delivery leadership
• Proven track record as a Product Owner, with consistently high-quality product backlogs, successful sprint outcomes, and strong credibility with development squads

Knowledge and Skills

• Advanced expertise in Product Ownership practices, including user story development, backlog structuring, value-based prioritization, refinement, and Definition of Ready standards
• Strong coaching and mentoring skills, with the ability to develop team capabilities through constructive feedback, knowledge sharing, and professional development
• Demonstrated leadership skills, personal accountability, and ability to establish trust and credibility across cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication skills to articulate product priorities, delivery risks, dependencies, and trade-offs to leadership, partner teams, and business stakeholders
• Readiness to assume first-time people management responsibilities, supported by a structured leadership development plan
• Ability to contribute to product discovery, user problem identification, opportunity assessment, and delivery feasibility in collaboration with Product Managers and Designers
• Familiarity with the complete product lifecycle, including Discovery, Solution Review and Assessment, Product Development, and Release and Learn, with an understanding of how backlog management supports each stage

Your Daily Tasks

Team Leadership and Development

• Lead and develop the Product Owner team through regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, individual development plans, coaching, and capability development
• Foster team cohesion, accountability, and a high-performance Product Ownership culture across squads
• Coach Product Owners on prioritization, backlog management, product delivery, and cross-functional collaboration

Product Practice and Quality

• Establish and continuously improve Product Ownership standards, practices, and workflows across squads
• Define and maintain standards for backlog quality, user story development, prioritization, refinement, and delivery readiness
• Promote consistency and continuous improvement through team calibration, quality reviews, and shared knowledge

Product Delivery and Ownership

• Lead product delivery for an assigned product by translating business strategy and requirements into a clear, prioritized, and actionable product backlog
• Ensure delivery readiness, manage dependencies and risks, and support squads in achieving product priorities
• Evaluate delivery trade-offs and make informed decisions aligned with product objectives and expected business outcomes

Cross-Functional Alignment

• Strengthen collaboration among Product Management, Product Ownership, Design, Engineering, and other business functions
• Serve as the primary operational escalation point for prioritization conflicts, dependencies, delivery risks, and cross-squad concerns
• Maintain alignment and continuity between product strategy, discovery, and delivery

Stakeholder Partnership

• Support Product Managers in maintaining stakeholder alignment and communicating product priorities, delivery progress, and expected outcomes
• Represent delivery constraints, risks, dependencies, and squad considerations in stakeholder meetings and product discussions
• Prepare Product Owners for product demonstrations, delivery reviews, and escalation discussions

Product Leadership and Continuous Improvement

• Strengthen the maturity, consistency, and effectiveness of Product Ownership practices across the organization
• Identify and implement enhancements to the product operating model, cross-functional collaboration, and delivery processes
• Analyze product performance, delivery metrics, and team insights to improve decision-making, operational effectiveness, and product outcomes
