Job summary

Maya is hiring a Lead Machine Learning Engineer to drive design, development, deployment, and scalability of its ML platforms and solutions in a growing financial ecosystem.

You will lead architecture and implementation of ML pipelines, model-serving infrastructure, and data workflows while ensuring reliability, performance, and alignment with business goals. A strong mentorship ethos and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or another quantitative discipline.
• At least 6+ years of experience building, deploying, and operating data pipelines and machine learning systems in production environments.
• At least 3+ years of experience leading technical initiatives, projects, or engineering teams.
• At least 3+ years of experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines and MLOps practices.
• At least 3+ years of experience developing and deploying microservices and distributed systems.
• At least 3+ years of experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, or large-scale data processing frameworks.
• Demonstrated success in managing stakeholders, driving cross-functional initiatives, and delivering business impact through technology.
• Proven experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of machine learning initiatives, from requirements definition and architecture design to production deployment and ongoing support.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Product Owners, Engineering, and stakeholders to translate business objectives into scalable ML-powered solutions.
• Architect and oversee platforms, services, and infrastructure for ML development, deployment, and monitoring.
• Design robust model-serving architectures balancing performance, latency, and cost.
• Develop reusable frameworks and libraries to improve Data Scientists’ productivity.
• Lead data pipelines and ML workflows for production environments.
• Oversee CI/CD pipelines for ML services, data pipelines, and platform infrastructure.
• Establish engineering standards, architectural best practices, and operational processes.
• Mentor Machine Learning Engineers and manage project delivery and risk.
