Job summary

Whitecloak is seeking a Technical Lead in the Philippines to guide a hands-on software engineering team. You will drive backend and full-stack development, ensure alignment with technical direction, and deliver high-quality cloud-based services in a microservices environment.

Responsibilities include leading the team, implementing APIs and integrations, supporting CI/CD, and contributing to DevSecOps practices while ensuring code quality and performance through testing and reviews.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in backend Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle/PostgreSQL).
• Strong API, microservices, and integration concepts (REST/JSON/XML, message queues).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools.
• Knowledge of AWS or OpenShift Cloud platforms.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a development team to align with technical direction.
• Ensure quality products through sound engineering practices.
• Develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring/Spring Boot.
• Design and implement APIs and integrations (REST/JSON/XML, queues).
• Support microservices architecture and integration patterns.
• Apply CI/CD practices using appropriate tools.
• Contribute to cloud-native infrastructure and DevSecOps-aligned development.
• Collaborate on deployment and release activities for applications.
• Write efficient, reusable, and reliable code with maintainability in mind.
• Use unit testing to ensure code quality and performance.
• Work with Git to manage and review code changes.
