ING Philippines is seeking a Team Lead to guide a group of backend engineers delivering secure, scalable, and resilient banking solutions. You will lead delivery while staying hands-on, mentor engineers, and shape technical direction in collaboration with Product Owners and architects.

You\'ll manage 10–12 engineers, drive modern practices, and foster ownership, collaboration, and continuous learning across cloud-native, microservices, and secure software development.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of people leadership experience within software engineering teams.
• Proven experience leading, coaching, and developing engineers.
• Experience managing team performance, career development, and recruitment activities.
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• Demonstrated success delivering enterprise-scale technology solutions.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and make informed decisions in fast-paced environments.
• Experience working within Agile delivery models.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of backend engineers delivering secure, scalable solutions for core banking platforms and digital channels.
• Balance people leadership with hands-on software delivery and technical decision-making.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, BAs, and Engineering Leaders to guide priorities and architectural direction.
• Mentor engineers, drive performance reviews, and support career development.
