Job summary

Kimpton is seeking a General Accountant Supervisor to support the Finance & Business Support team in maintaining accurate financial records for our hotels in the Philippines. You will oversee general accounting activities, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close, ensuring compliance with policies and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or related field.
• CPA qualification is an advantage.
• 3–4 years in Accounting/Finance, hospitality preferred.
• Supervisory or team-lead experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GL, reconciliations, and closing.
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily general accounting activities and ensure accuracy.
• Prepare and review journal entries and general ledger transactions.
• Perform reconciliations of balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
• Support month-end, quarterly, and year-end closings.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and reports.
• Investigate variances and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain organized accounting records and documentation.
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting and other Finance tasks.
• Assist in maintaining internal controls and compliance with policies.
• Prepare for internal and external audits and tax compliance.
• Coordinate with hotel departments to resolve accounting issues.
• Guide Finance colleagues in completing accounting tasks accurately.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls.
