Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group is seeking a General Accountant Supervisor to support the Finance & Business Support team in maintaining accurate financial records. You will oversee general accounting activities, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing, ensuring compliance with hotel policies and internal controls.

You will guide Finance colleagues, coordinate with departments, and help improve accounting processes and efficiency while ensuring compliance with regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accountancy or related field.
• CPA qualification is an advantage.
• 3–4 years of relevant accounting or finance experience, preferably in hospitality.
• Supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of general accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and GL processes.
• Knowledge of Philippine taxation and statutory requirements is a plus.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Proficient in Excel and MS Office; familiarity with hotel financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support daily general accounting activities and ensure transactions are recorded accurately.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account schedules, and general ledger transactions.
• Perform balance sheet and GL account reconciliations; support closing processes.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports.
• Investigate variances and discrepancies and resolve issues.
• Maintain complete accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Support AP, AR, income audit, payroll accounting and other Finance functions as needed.
• Assist in internal controls and compliance with Finance policies.
