Job summary

Verkada is seeking a Lead Product Manager to own edge devices: the Gateway family and Security Trailers, enabling network and power for any device at scale. You will drive the platform strategy and work with cross-functional teams to deliver embedded hardware/software solutions that power edge deployments.

The role requires deep experience in hardware/embedded products, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to craft data plans and pricing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably in B2B networking, connectivity, or IoT hardware.
• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar quantitative field. MS, PhD, or MBA optional
• Proven history of launching and scaling hardware and/or embedded systems products.
• Willingness to travel and work onsite with customers in unwired environments.
• Ability to build platform and recurring-revenue business models.
• Strong leadership and detail-oriented mindset.
• Foundational knowledge of firmware, device bring-up, and hardware design.

Responsibilities

• Own strategy and execution for Verkada’s Cellular and Wi-Fi Gateway product line and trailer platform.
• Grow gateway portfolio with reliability, fleet management, and new form factors for edge connectivity.
• Deliver trailer platform’s core uptime with off-grid capability and edge intelligence.
• Partner with other Verkada lines to deliver connectivity-as-a-service.
• Define data plan and pricing strategy for customers.
