Job summary

Bühler Gruppe is seeking an experienced Automation Project Engineer to lead and implement PLC-based control systems for industrial automation projects. The role requires coordinating multiple stakeholders and ensuring designs meet customer expectations, with global commissioning responsibilities.

The ideal candidate has a background in engineering, strong PLC/HMI know-how, and proven project management and documentation skills, along with willingness to travel for assignments.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree and minimum 6 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in industrial process automation and in implementing PLC-based control systems is an advantage.
• Proficient in PLC and HMI systems (Siemens S7 / TIA Portal).
• Skilled in technical documentation and specification writing.
• Professional experience in project management.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Support and advise Project Engineers on projects and ensure designs meet customer expectations.
• Develop and implement demanding automation projects in plant control systems.
• Define software concepts based on documentation and specifications.
• Plan and control projects, including budget, schedule, and quality.
• Coordinate stakeholders (customers, sales, mechanical engineering, technology).
• Participate in project reviews and cross-functional meetings.
• Program and test PLC software per guidelines and standards.
• Commission plant control systems domestically and abroad.

• Supports andadvisesProject Engineers onprojects,on alltechnicalbelonging relatedtohisspecialization,and ensurethat design will meet hecustomers'expectations
• Develop and implement demanding automation projects in the field of plant control systems
• Define the software concept based on the documentation and specifications
• Project planning and controlling
• Responsibility for budget, schedule, and quality
• Coordination of the various project stakeholders (customers, sales, mechanical engineering, technology)
• Participate in Project Reviews as support of the Project Manager/ Director if required
• Activelyparticipate in project meetings with cross - functional team members, suppliers, and/or customers
• ProgramandtestPLC softwarein accordance withstandard guidelines
• Carry out commissioning of plant control systems both domestically and abroad

• Graduate of Engineering or any related Degree
• Minimum 6 years relevant experienceor proof of sufficient skills
