Job summary

Knowles in the Philippines seeks a Sr. Automation Engineer to lead automation initiatives that boost productivity, support new product introductions, and ensure reliable automated manufacturing equipment in a high-volume environment.

You will design, develop, and maintain automation hardware and software, collaborate across Engineering, QA, Tooling, Purchasing and Production, and drive NPI, preventive maintenance, and equipment upgrades.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics/Communications Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience in electronics, automation, or high-volume manufacturing.
• Strong background in automation design, development, maintenance, and troubleshooting for hardware and software systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement automation solutions that drive productivity improvements.
• Design, develop, and maintain automation equipment, including hardware and software components.
• Support process improvement projects and equipment development activities.
• Collaborate with Engineering, QA, Tooling, Purchasing, and Production teams to ensure project success.

• Troubleshoot, install, maintain, and upgrade production equipment and facilities.

About the Role

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in vision inspection, motion control, sensors, pneumatic and hydraulic control systems.
• Proficient in PLC applications, motion control, LabVIEW, Cadence, and Perforce.
• Experience with industrial robotics is an advantage.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, time management, and teamwork skills.
• Innovative, self-driven, and able to work with minimal supervision.
