Job summary

BlackCube Labs in Makati, Philippines is seeking an experienced automation engineer to support project engineers, develop and implement automation projects, and define software concepts from documentation and specifications to ensure customer expectations are met.

The role involves coordinating stakeholders, planning budgets and schedules, testing PLC/HMI solutions (Siemens S7, TIA Portal), conducting commissioning abroad, and traveling as required.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in industrial process automation and PLC-based control systems advantageous.
• Proven ability to design and implement automation solutions.
• Strong planning, organizational, and project management skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Support and advise Project Engineers on projects and ensure design meets customer expectations.
• Develop and implement automation projects in plant control systems.
• Define software concepts from documentation and specifications.
• Project planning and controlling; budget, schedule, and quality.
• Coordinate stakeholders (customers, sales, mechanical engineering, technology).
• Participate in Project Reviews with the Project Manager/Director.
• Attend cross-functional meetings with team members, suppliers, and customers.
• Program and test PLC software according to guidelines.
• Carry out commissioning of plant control systems domestically and abroad.

• Develop and implement demanding automation projects in the field of plant control systems.
• Define the software concept based on the documentation and specifications.
• Project planning and controlling
• Responsibility for budget, schedule, and quality
• Coordination of the various project stakeholders (customers, sales, mechanical engineering, technology)
• Participate in Project Reviews as support of the Project Manager/ Director if
• Actively participate in project meetings with cross - functional team members, suppliers, and/or customers
• ProgramandtestPLC softwarein accordance withstandard guidelines
• Carry out commissioning of plant control systems both domestically and abroad

Qualifications

• Graduate of Engineering or any related Degree
• Minimum 5 years relevant experienceor proof of sufficient skills
• Experience in industrial process automation and in implementing PLC-based control systems is an advantage
• Proven experience in designing and implementing automation solutions
• Proficient in PLC and HMI systems (Siemens S7 / TIA Portal)
• Skilled in technical documentation and specification writing
• Professional experience in project management
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English
• Willingness to travel
