Job summary

Mattel is seeking a Director of Logistics – LATAM to lead regional logistics strategy across Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Peru. You will oversee ocean freight, customs, warehousing, and national distribution, while partnering with internal teams and 3PLs to optimize costs and service.

You will report to the SVP, Global Logistics with a dotted line to the GM LATAM, driving transformation, KPI reporting, and regional talent development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field as listed.
  • Multilingual with strong Spanish and English; Portuguese is highly desirable.
  • 10+ years of progressive supply chain and logistics experience in multinational companies.
  • Proven track record in cost optimization, operational efficiency, and trade compliance.
  • Strong strategy and leadership to design regional plans aligned with global objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Design regional logistics strategy aligned with global objectives and optimize networks.
  • Manage budgets, forecasting, and cost-saving initiatives; present to senior leadership.
  • Lead local and regional LATAM teams; drive collaboration and best practices.
  • Define KPIs and deliver executive reporting to regional/global leadership.
  • Oversee inbound/outbound logistics, including ocean freight, customs, warehousing, and distribution.
  • Lead talent development for senior managers across Brazil, Chile, and Mexico.
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Drive digital transformation with ERP, TMS, WMS, and analytics.
  • Identify supply-chain risks and develop continuity plans.
