Job summary

ARC Refreshments Corporation is seeking a capable Laboratory Analyst to support the Central Laboratory and Concentrate Plant. The role involves handling test apparatus, preparing reagents, recalibrating equipment, and performing microbiology duties in the supervisor's absence.

The successful candidate will maintain records of analyses, monitor deviations, and conduct BPQI/PCQI tests, ensuring traceability and accuracy in all analyses.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Bs Food Technology, BS Chemistry or BS Chemical Engineering.
• Basic knowledge on acceptance of raw materials and packaging.
• Basic skills to create, test on product formulation, sensory evaluation, and understanding of microbiology and chemistry.
• Basic knowledge on laboratory instrumentation, data analytics and product profiling.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all test apparatus/equipment for laboratory analysis are properly prepared and in good working condition.
• Prepares chemical reagents needed for analyses and maintains inventory of chemicals, reagents, solutions, raw and packaging materials and supplies.
• Recalibrates all equipment of the Central Laboratory and documents recalibrations.
• Performs duties of Microbiologist in absence.
• Keeps records and documentation of analyses for reference and traceability.
• Informs superior of any deviation from routine analysis and keeps track of incidents.
• Conducts BPQI/PCQI analyses and submits test results for evaluation.
• Performs other related tasks as assigned.

Job responsibilities:

• Ensures all test apparatus/equipment for laboratory analysis are properly prepared and in good working condition.

• Responsible for the preparation of chemical reagents needed for the different analyses to be performed and have an updated inventory of all chemicals, chemical reagents, solutions, raw and packaging materials, and other supplies needed by the Concentrate Plant and Central Laboratory and to program lead time for ordering point.

• Recalibrates all equipment of the Central Laboratory and properly documents all recalibrations done.

• Performs duties of Microbiologist in his/her absence.

• Keeps records and documentation of all analyses conducted for purposes of reference and traceability.

• Informs his/her immediate superior any deviation from routine analysis in case of exceptions and to keep track record of such incident.

• Conducts BPQI/PCQI analyses and submits test results to immediate superior for further evaluation.

• Performs other related tasks that may be assigned from time to time
