Private Advertiser is seeking an L&D Specialist – Store Operations to strengthen the technical competencies and operational capabilities of our store teams. You will work with Store Operations leaders and SMEs to identify gaps, develop and facilitate learning programs, and monitor employee development.
The role emphasizes Training Needs Analysis, cross-training programs, and competency assessments, with a focus on hands-on store environments across retail, grocery, or food & beverage settings.
We are looking for an L&D Specialist – Store Operations who will help strengthen the technical competencies and operational capabilities of our store teams.
This role will work closely with Store Operations leaders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify competency gaps, develop and facilitate learning programs, coordinate cross-training, conduct competency assessments, and monitor employee development.
Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA) to identify technical and operational competency gaps.
Design, develop, and coordinate learning programs aligned with store operations requirements.
Develop and maintain training modules, facilitator guides, participant materials, activities, and other learning resources.
Facilitate learning programs using adult learning and learner-centered methodologies.
Coordinate cross-training programs to improve employee flexibility and readiness across applicable stations.
Develop and administer competency assessment tools and certification activities.
Monitor training completion, assessment results, certification status, and employee competency development.
Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, assessments, observations, and learning results.
Coach and support internal trainers, facilitators, and SMEs.
Prepare L&D reports, dashboards, and management updates.
Coordinate training schedules, venues, materials, external facilitators, and other logistics.
Recommend improvements to training content, methodology, competency standards, and overall learning experience.
Must-Have:
Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Human Resource Management, Education, Business Administration, Communication, or a related field.
At least 3 years of relevant Learning & Development / Training experience.
Strong experience supporting Store Operations, preferably from retail, grocery, food & beverage, or restaurant environments.
Experience conducting Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and identifying competency gaps.
Experience in training design, facilitation, competency assessment, and/or certification.
Strong presentation, facilitation, coaching, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to analyze training feedback and learning results.
Proficient in MS Office, presentation tools, and digital learning tools.
Organized, creative, adaptable, collaborative, and people-oriented.
Preferred Profile:
Experience directly supporting frontline/store employees.
Experience handling technical/operational training and cross-training programs.
Relevant L&D, training, facilitation, or competency-development certifications are an advantage.
