Job summary

Merck Group is seeking a Vendor Master Data Specialist who will manage the end-to-end lifecycle of vendor records to ensure accuracy for procurement and finance operations. You will validate data changes, apply fraud controls, and maintain master data with an eye for risk mitigation.

You will collaborate with internal teams and suppliers, handle data quality issues, and contribute to process improvements across ERP systems like SAP and Ariba. Fluency in Korean is required for this role.

Qualifications

• A graduate background with professional experience.
• Has at least 6 years of Accounts Payable or preferably Vendor Master Data experience and knowledge from Shared service Center or BPO environment
• Korean Speaker
• Requires substantial knowledge of underlying concepts and principles upon which the job is based.
• Strong background and experience working with SAP, Ariba and other ERP systems
• Can support the team in resolving data quality problems through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies.
• Is effective in a variety of communication settings: one-in-one, small and large groups, or among diverse styles and position levels.
• Able to perform various coordination that includes gathering of information and answering of queries/email.
• Participated in and performed special/Adhoc tasks and projects.
• (For internal transfer) an increase in the scope of task i.e. multiple countries, legal entities and ERPs handled.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of vendor master data to support procurement and finance operations.
• Validate vendor data changes, including sensitive bank account updates.
• Apply fraud prevention controls and investigate potential irregularities.
• Maintain and update master data records and resolve data quality issues.
• Process service tickets and generate reports for audits and controls.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives while collaborating with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
