Job summary

Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany is seeking a Vendor Master Data Specialist to manage complex vendor master data transactions and uphold data integrity. The role supports Buy & Pay teams and ensures accurate supplier information through cleansing, conversion and ongoing management.

The position emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional groups, adherence to service levels, and strong analytical judgment to resolve data quality issues and drive improvements in master data processes.

Qualifications

6+ years vendor master data experience, preferably in shared service or BPO.
Strong knowledge of SAP, Ariba and ERP systems.
Ability to coordinate information and respond to queries across teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication in English and local language.

Responsibilities

Verify validity of vendor transactions and attachments for policy compliance.
Respond to low to medium complexity requests in a timely manner and escalate as needed.
Monitor and resolve outstanding supplier accounts to ensure timely payments.
Perform vendor reconciliation and cross-functional data inquiries.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams and manage data analytics/reporting.
Support process improvements in vendor master data management.
