Job summary

Opaa! Food Management is seeking a kitchen helper to prepare breakfast and/or lunch offerings, assist with serving lines, and participate in occasional catering functions. The role covers all positions within the kitchen, including cleaning, inventory, and complying with HACCP and safety policies.

The candidate will follow the menu plan and Opaa! recipes, perform batch cooking for quality presentation, and work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in food service or kitchen operations a plus.
• Ability to follow recipes and prepared menus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with set-up of serving lines and ensure food is held at required temperatures.
• Assist in preparation of foods per menu plan and Opaa! recipes; prep ahead for next day.
• Operate slicers, mixers, grinders, and other equipment with proper certification.
• Maintain neat, clean, and organized work areas; clean kitchen and cafeteria spaces.
• Maintain inventory, practice FIFO, and keep storage areas tidy.
• Prepare baked goods as required by the menu; present to customers attractively.
• Batch cook to ensure quality and presentation; set up serving lines and restock as needed.
• Serve items with proper portions and utensils; prioritize hospitality.
• Adhere to safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
