Job summary

Picasso Bistro, Inc. is seeking a Kitchen Steward to maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen and dishwashing areas in a fast-paced restaurant environment. You will wash, sanitize, sort, and store dishes, operate industrial dishwashers, and ensure all equipment is clean and in good condition.

The role requires basic kitchen sanitation knowledge, the ability to handle lifting tasks, and flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays in a dynamic team setting.

Qualifications

• At least High School graduate or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a Kitchen Steward, Dishwasher, or similar role is an advantage.
• Able to perform cleaning and lifting tasks.
• Knowledge of basic kitchen sanitation and safety practices.
• Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays.
• Can work well in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen and dishwashing areas.
• Wash, sanitize, sort, and properly store dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
• Operate and maintain industrial dishwashers and pot-washing equipment.
• Keep floors, walls, waste bin areas, and other work areas clean and dry.
• Collect, segregate, and dispose of waste according to restaurant and sanitation standards.
• Monitor cleaning chemical levels and maintain proper inventory.
• Ensure kitchen equipment and tools are clean and in good working condition.
• Report and properly dispose of broken or chipped items and update inventory records.
• Follow all company hygiene, safety, sanitation, and waste-management procedures.
